Join our team as an experienced Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Suffolk, VA. In this role you will perform specialized breast imaging examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease following ARRT, ACR, and MQSA guidelines. You will perform screening, diagnostic, invasive breast procedures, and DEXA scans according to established protocols and assist the radiologist during biopsies while maintaining patient safety and radiation protection principles.

Minimum Qualifications

\n

• Current ARRT Mammography (ARRT (M)) certification required.
• State of Virginia licensure in hand.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a registered mammography technologist.
• Experience performing breast biopsies and assisting radiologists with invasive breast procedures.
• Experience with Hologic mammography systems.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

\n

• DEXA (bone density) experience is a plus.
• Associate degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred.
• ARRT Mammography certification obtained upon hire or within six months preferred when applicable.

Assignment Details

\n

• Monday through Friday schedule with typical hours 8:00 am–4:30 pm.
• Rotating Saturdays approximately one per month, 7:45 am–3:00 pm.
• Position requires performing screening, diagnostic, invasive, and DEXA procedures and assisting radiologists with biopsies.
