• No. of Beds in Department: 33-Bed Emergency Department (includes 3 trauma bays)
• Trauma Level: Level III
• Specialty Backup Available: Yes, specialty care rooms for ENT, Orthopedics, GYN, etc.
• Support Staff Available: NP/PA coverage (36 hours/day), Scribe support

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Moderate Sedation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: Board certified in ABEM/AOBEM or current ABMS-recognized specialty with at least five years continuous full-time experience in high-volume ED (>30,000 visits/year)
• Licenses: Active unrestricted Indiana Medical License, Indiana State Controlled Substance, DEA with Indiana address and schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA with Indiana address, schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4; Indiana State Controlled Substance
• Certifications: BLS required
• Experience: New graduates (EM residency within 12 months) acceptable; IM physicians must have 5+ years continuous full-time high-volume ED experience
• Other Qualifications: Case logs for past 2 years, completed CME attestation, required immunizations (flu, TB, COVID)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages in a high-volume Level III trauma center
• Supervise and collaborate with NP/PA staff and scribe support
• Perform procedures including moderate sedation and other emergency procedures
• Manage patients in a 33-bed ED with 3 trauma bays and specialty care rooms
• Maintain accurate documentation, case logs, and participate in quality assurance
