Inside Sales Representative


PVS Metals (Owen Industries) – Carter Lake, IA (Near Downtown Omaha) | Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Full-Time, In-Office

We're looking for an Inside Sales Representative who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves solving problems for customers, and takes real ownership of their accounts.

This isn't a cold-call grind. You'll work with both new and existing customers, support outside sales staff, and play a central role in keeping our production and shipping operations aligned with customer expectations. What You'll Do

  • Sell PVS Metals products and capabilities to new and existing customers in our database
  • Process and follow up on quotes and inquiries with accuracy and urgency
  • Analyze and execute production orders entering the shop, ensuring specs are correct before they hit the floor
  • Coordinate with the shop on scheduling and with shipping to ensure on-time delivery
  • Work with purchasing to forecast material needs based on customer orders
  • Assist in annual sales forecasting for the upcoming year
  • Stay current on industry pricing trends and how they impact company margins
  • Develop deep knowledge of our machine capabilities so you can confidently advise customers on what we can produce
  • Collaborate closely with outside sales staff and stay informed on customer demands and expectations
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and bring insights back to the team

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in inside sales, customer service, or account management — manufacturing or steel industry experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings — or a strong willingness to learn
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel; SAP experience is a plus
  • CAD experience and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat are bonuses
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail — you manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball
  • A natural communicator — confident on the phone, clear over email, and collaborative in person
  • Self-starter mentality — you don't wait to be told what to do next
  • Professional, team-first attitude with a genuine drive to exceed sales goals
