Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a growing oilfield services company in NW Houston. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision metallic and non-metallic components used in inflatable packers, downhole tools, and related products. The ideal candidate will have strong setup experience, the ability to read blueprints and G-code, and experience machining oilfield-related connections. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering long-term career growth with an established industry leader.

Responsibilities:

• Review blueprints, drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine machining requirements and tolerances
• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment to manufacture precision components
• Measure, mark, and inspect materials to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
• Select, align, and secure tooling, fixtures, attachments, and materials for production runs
• Read and interpret G-code and run canned cycles to support efficient machining operations

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code
• Experience with API connections, including Rotary Shoulder Connections, Buttress, Stub Acme, Acme, 8-Round, and 10-Round tapered connections
• Proficient in running canned cycles and maintaining machining tolerances

The base pay range for this position is $30.00-$35.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
