Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Wichita, Kansas that is one of the world's largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defense platforms, and business/regional jets. With expertise in aluminum and advanced composite manufacturing solutions, the company’s core products include fuselages, integrated wings and wing components, pylons, and nacelles.
Essential Functions:
- Assemble, install, seal, rig, and inspect structural and system components following blueprints, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Perform functional testing to ensure proper fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.
- Interpret technical documents including prints, charts, sketches, and electronic work instructions.
- Utilize shop mathematics and precision measuring tools to complete assignments accurately.
- Operate and use assembly tooling to build sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
- Verify all work meets quality standards and identify/report discrepancies per procedures.
- Maintain equipment and ensure tools are properly certified and in compliance.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines and equipment (filters, lubrication, etc.).
- Move materials and products within the work area using appropriate equipment.
- Work within established schedules to support production goals.
- Support continuous workflow by assisting and training team members.
- Cross-train in inspection processes and work toward SIA qualification.
Requirements:
- 3+ years Previous experience in aerospace, aviation, or manufacturing assembly required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to train and support other team members.
