This opportunity is designed for engineers who thrive in advanced power conversion environments and enjoy working on cutting-edge applications supporting aerospace, aviation, and defense technologies.The successful candidate will contribute to the development of next-generation power systems ranging from low-power board-level applications to high-power resonant converter architectures. Projects span wireless power transfer, wide-bandgap power converters, bidirectional systems, generator power converters, and motor drive technologies.This role requires strong analytical capabilities, hands-on design expertise, and the ability to support technical projects while collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams.HireNow SnapshotThe Power Electronics Engineer will support the design, analysis, simulation, and development of advanced power conversion systems used in aerospace and defense applications.Power Electronics Design & Development
- Perform circuit-level design, analysis, simulation, and troubleshooting for power supply and converter applications.
- Develop solutions for AC/DC, DC/DC, and bidirectional converter architectures.
- Support wireless power transfer and resonant converter technologies.
- Analyze various power converter topologies and optimize performance.
- Apply control loop theory to system design and stability analysis.
- Perform circuit simulations using tools such as PSIM, MATLAB, or similar platforms.
- Support thermal analysis and thermal management solutions.
- Evaluate electromagnetic interference and susceptibility considerations.
- Analyze system performance and implement design improvements.
- Design and evaluate transformers, inductors, and ferrite core materials.
- Support magnetic circuit analysis and component optimization.
- Participate in component selection and performance validation.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design challenges.
- Interpret customer specifications and convert requirements into system-level designs.
- Lead small engineering teams and technical projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum three years of power electronics design experience.
- Experience analyzing multiple power converter topologies.
- Strong understanding of control loop theory and stability analysis.
- Experience using PSIM, MATLAB, or similar simulation tools.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into system designs.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
- Stable and consistent employment history.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Aerospace, aviation, or defense industry experience.
- Experience with wide-bandgap power converters.
- Familiarity with resonant converter architectures.
