Speech-Language Pathologist Needed in Anchorage, AK:
- Openings in PreK-Elementary.
- Caseload: 47 students.
- Contract for the school year - 37.5 to 40 hours per week (Hybrid).
Speech Language Pathologist / SLP Pay:
- $1,680.00 - $2,437.00/week depending on experience and qualifications.
Speech Language Pathologist / SLP Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, Speech Audiology, Communications Disorders, or a similar program.
- National and state certifications: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, State Speech Language Pathologist Certificate, and State License from the Department of Health Services.
- Meet pre-employment credentialing clearances (Background Check & Drug Screen).
- Positive, energetic, and compassionate approach to education.
- Willingness to participate in events outside normal hours, travel as needed, and engage actively in the role.
Position Overview: Provide speech and language therapy services to help students improve communication and learning skills.
Essential Functions:
- The ideal candidate will assess and treat a range of communication disorders using tele-practice methods, collaborating with educators and parents to create individualized treatment plans.
- Responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering therapy sessions, maintaining documentation, and participating in IEP meetings.
- The SLP will be committed to supporting students’ communication needs in a flexible, engaging manner.
- Model mature behavior, uphold values, and encourage character development.
