Salary: $18.50/Hr to $24.05/Hr
A. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
- Under the direction of the Site Supervisor/Administrator and Director of Residential Services, ensures proper completion of daily assignments and activities.
- Shares responsibilities with Site Supervisor/Administrator.
- Provide leadership and direction to staff and clients to ensure program consistency and focus on individual goals.
- Assumes Site Supervisor/Administrator responsibilities in the absence of the Site Supervisor/Administrator and works under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services.
B. PRIMARY SCHEDULE:
- Five eight-hour shifts per week with a 30-minute on-duty lunch. (Days and hours may vary and include evenings, Holidays, and weekends, and overtime shifts as needed.)
C. SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
- Works under the supervision of the Site Supervisor/Administrator.
D. SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
- Is responsible for supervising staff and individuals with disabilities.
E. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years experience providing direct supervision of individuals in a human services delivery system (preferably working with adults with developmental disabilities) including at least one year in a comparable program.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to supervise staff and clients and coordinate daily scheduled activities.
- High School education or equivalent.
- Ability to create and maintain documents using Excel and Word. Overall familiarity with computer programs.
- Ability to be certified in all NVS intervention training including Pro-Act, Behavior Tools, PCM Practitioner Level 2.
- Ability to effectively implement Individual Service Plans (ISP).
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work efficiently with others.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Current California drivers license, with an acceptable DMV printout and insurability, minimum of a 3-year driving history.
- Ability to pass a DOJ criminal background check.
- Ability to pass CPR and First Aid courses.
F. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows all procedures, policies, and guidelines of North Valley Services.
- Performs general office duties.
- Type letters, memos, and reports.
- Supervises and coordinates staff and clients daily schedules.
- Participates in assigned client scheduled activities.
- Collaborates and works efficiently with others.
- Fills in for Direct Care Staff as needed.
- Implements Individual Service Plans (ISP) and follows behavior plans (teaching skills and coping techniques).
- Accompanies clients to medical/personal appointments as needed.
- Completes injury reports, and forwards to administrator.
- Maintain client files.
- Complete client MARs, and complete daily checks.
- Assist and support clients to develop strategies, to make informed choices, and follow through with responsibilities to achieve desired lifestyle.
- Assists clients with personal care needs as required (i.e. toileting, showering, washing hands brushing teeth, etc.)
- Provides transportation services (buses and/or vans) and assists individuals on and off vehicles as needed.
- Performs daily documentation according to program guidelines.
- Administer and follow all policies and procedures when administering medications.
- Shadows newly med-trained staff during first 2 medication passes and documents completion log.
- Maintain awareness of the clients ongoing health, mental, emotional, and self-care needs.
- Support clients with banking, budgeting, bill paying, and receipt keeping.
- Assist clients to become a valued member of the community.
- Ensures quality and regulatory compliance.
- Performs monthly safety inspections and meetings.
- Ensures compliance with the Illness Injury Prevention Program (IIPP).
- Participates in agency-sponsored training as required.
- Assists filling in at other programs as needed.
- Presents and maintains a positive and professional attitude and demeanor.
- Additional duties as assigned, including filling in at other sites or departments as needed.
G. PHYSICAL DUTIES:
- May have prolonged sitting.
- May have prolonged use of a computer.

- May have prolonged driving.
- May have prolonged standing.
- May lift up to 30 pounds.
- May assist in lifting clients.
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel.
