LPN - Pediatric Home Care

BrightStar Care Gainesville is looking for an experienced Pediatric LPN to provide 1:1 private duty nursing to children in their home. You'll build a true care relationship within one family, work a predictable schedule, and leave your shift knowing exactly what you accomplished.

No facility politics. No floating. No surprises.

The Schedule
3 x 12-hour overnight shifts per week Monday – Sunday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Three days on, four days off. A schedule that actually gives your life back.

ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Be Doing
You will serve as the primary skilled nurse for medically complex pediatric patients in their family home. Typical responsibilities include:

• Delivering 1:1 skilled nursing care for children with complex medical needs
• Managing G-tube feedings, medications, and site care with confidence and precision
• Executing physician-ordered plans of care within LPN scope of practice
• Monitoring, assessing, and responding to changes in patient condition
• Completing thorough shift documentation — all charting is done during your shift, not after
• Communicating consistently with your RN supervisor and the broader care team
• Building a genuine, trusting relationship with the patient and family

Required SkillsWho We're Looking For
This role is designed for an LPN who already knows pediatric nursing. We're not looking to train someone into peds — we're looking for someone who is ready to walk in confident and deliver exceptional care from day one.
Required:

• Active Florida LPN license (or compact license valid in FL)
• Minimum 1-2 years of pediatric nursing experience — facility, home care, or clinical setting
• G-tube experience required — hands-on, not just classroom
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Valid Florida driver's license and auto insurance
• TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe

Preferred:

• Prior private duty or home health nursing background
