Construction Foreman

Position Summary

The Construction Foreman oversees daily field operations for civil construction projects supporting wireless infrastructure builds. This role ensures that jobs are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to Hightowers standards of excellence. The Foreman leads and motivates field crews, manages site activities, ensures equipment and materials are available, and serves as the main on-site point of contact for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily work of field crews on excavation, concrete, trenching, fencing, and utility installation.
• Interpret construction drawings and ensure work meets design and quality specifications.
• Maintain a safe job site, conduct daily safety briefings, and enforce OSHA and Hightower safety policies.
• Monitor work progress, schedule adherence, and crew productivity.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and material suppliers to ensure timely delivery and support.
• Document project progress through daily reports, time tracking, photo logs, and issue escalation.
• Operate or oversee heavy equipment and verify compliance with maintenance standards.
  Lead by example with a strong work ethic and uphold Hightowers culture of accountability.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of civil construction or utility infrastructure experience.
• 1+ year of supervisory or lead experience in a field construction role.
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
• Proficient in reading site plans, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varied weather.
• Comfortable working around excavation equipment, concrete forms, utility trenching, and energized infrastructure.
• Willingness to travel and relocate within 45 minutes of assigned office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in telecom civil site construction (foundations, ground grids, site prep).
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Knowledge of concrete finishing, rebar layout, and grounding practices.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with GPS layout, trenching, and utility locating practices.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, wind, and humidity
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and bend for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Ability to climb ladders, work at elevated heights, and navigate uneven terrain when required
• Ability to wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety harnesses, gloves, eye protection, and steel-toe boots
• Ability to maintain situational awareness and follow all safety procedures in active construction and telecommunications environments
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or travel as project demands require
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, clients, and subcontractors in both verbal and written formats
• Sufficient visual and hearing acuity to identify hazards, read technical documents, and safely perform assigned duties
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicle
