Third Party International is seeking a Supply Chain Consultant to support manufacturing and aerospace related clients in the St George Utah area. This role focuses on improving supplier performance, reducing shortages, stabilizing schedules, and strengthening day to day execution across purchasing, planning, and production support.
About the Role
You will work with client supply chain, operations, quality, and engineering teams to resolve chronic material issues, improve on time delivery, and reduce expediting. The work blends hands on supplier follow up with analytical work on MRP signals, lead times, and plan accuracy. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a factory environment and can coordinate priorities across multiple functions without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify high risk parts and suppliers and drive recovery plans with clear owners and due dates
- Support planning and scheduling stability by improving priority discipline and schedule adherence routines
- Work with buyers and planners to improve MRP inputs including lead times, order policies, and safety stock where appropriate
- Coordinate supplier communication for confirmations, past due recovery, and corrective actions
- Support make versus buy and resourcing decisions with structured recommendations
- Track supplier performance metrics including on time delivery, responsiveness, and quality issues and lead follow up actions
- Partner with quality and engineering to ensure supplier requirements and documentation flowdowns are clear and complete
- Provide weekly status reporting to leadership on risks, shortages, and mitigation actions
- Significant experience in supply chain, supplier development, procurement, or planning in aerospace or complex manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to resolve chronic shortages and improve supplier delivery performance
- Strong understanding of MRP fundamentals, lead times, routings, and production constraints
- Comfortable working directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders across operations, quality, and engineering
- Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP or MRP systems
- Clear communication skills and disciplined follow through
- Experience in high mix, low volume manufacturing or precision machining environments
- Familiarity with AS9100 expectations and supplier flowdown requirements
- Experience supporting supplier transitions, second sourcing, or supplier recovery plans
