Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Perform daily construction inspections for infrastructure, buildings, or site development projects
- Verify compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure quality control, safety standards, and contract compliance
- Prepare detailed daily inspection reports, including field documentation, photos, and progress tracking
- Identify non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and project teams
- Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders for accuracy and compliance
- Participate in progress meetings and provide technical input to clients and stakeholders
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) required
- 10+ years of construction inspection and/or construction management experience
- Strong knowledge of construction codes, safety standards, and QA/QC practices
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience with field inspections, reporting, and contractor coordination
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with construction/scheduling tools is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Curiosity and interest in continuous learning in AI and comfort experimenting and iterating quickly; uses data to validate ideas and measure impact.
- Commitment to ethical and responsible AI adoption, including privacy-by-design and safe use of tools.
