Location: Sacramento, CA
Pay: $24.23 per hour
Schedule: 9/8/80 Schedule
Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Every other Friday off
Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Worker to support multifamily housing maintenance, apartment repairs, and property upkeep in Sacramento, CA. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of residential maintenance, apartment turnover repairs, and facility maintenance tasks to ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained living environments.
Ideal candidates will have strong experience in apartment maintenance, property management maintenance, or general facilities repair, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC basics, and unit turns.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general apartment maintenance and repair work including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry
- Complete unit turns, inspections, and vacancy preparation to ensure move-in readiness
- Troubleshoot and repair doors, windows, locks, drywall, flooring, and fixtures
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine property inspections
- Maintain exterior areas including landscaping, irrigation systems, and debris removal
- Use and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Track and complete work orders using maintenance management systems
- Maintain accurate logs of repairs, materials, and maintenance activities
- Respond to on-call maintenance requests and emergency repair situations
- Support inventory control and supply management for maintenance operations
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or general building repair
- Strong skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues independently
- Experience completing unit turns and residential maintenance tasks
- Basic computer skills for work order tracking and documentation
- Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and use of tools
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
