Job Description

Interested in Becoming a Canine Care Specialist?
This is an active, hands-on position where you’ll be part of what makes each dog’s day great. You’ll help supervise play, manage feeding, keep the facility clean and safe, and connect with owners at drop-off and pickup. Every day looks a little different, and there’s real satisfaction in the work.

You’ll be on your feet and outdoors a good portion of the day, Pacific Northwest weather and all, so a love of fresh air and staying active is a plus.

What You’ll Do

  • Shower each pup affection
  • Supervise and engage dogs throughout their stay and during play sessions
  • Monitor the group and step in calmly when dogs need redirecting
  • Feed dogs according to their individual care plans
  • Keep the facility clean, safe, and welcoming throughout your shift
  • Greet owners warmly at drop-off and pickup
  • Pitch in wherever the team needs you

What We’re Looking For

We value attitude and dependability over experience. If you’re the kind of person who shows up, cares about doing things right, and genuinely likes being around dogs, you’d fit right in here. Professional animal care experience is a plus but not required.

Who We Are

Since 1996, Dogs-A-Jammin’ has been one of the Pacific Northwest’s most trusted dog daycare and boarding facilities seven acres on the Redmond/Woodinville border, where dogs are genuinely cared for, and not just supervised. We’re a small, close-knit team and we take real pride in what we do.

Physical Requirements

  • Comfortable being on your feet and active throughout your shift
  • At ease outdoors
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs., when needed
  • Able to bend, reach, and kneel as part of the normal work day

Room to Grow

We’ve built a real path for people who want to grow with us, from Canine Care Specialist to Lead, Assistant Manager, and Manager. We invest in training from day one and genuinely prefer to promote our staff. If you’re ready to grow, we’re ready to invest in you.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance (after waiting period)
  • Bring your own well-behaved dog to work (after waiting period)
  • Structured training and ongoing professional development
  • A clear path for advancement, we grow leaders
