Summary:

The main function of the planning specialist is to provide data and analytical support to the planning team.  This position will be responsible for utilizing SAP and Excel to create vendor forecasts, compiling data to understand supply gaps, working with vendors and planners to ensure orders are confirmed, and conduct ad hoc analysis to support informed decision-making.   

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain vendor forecasts using SAP and Excel

• Compile and analyze data to identify and quantify potential supply gaps

• Monitor open orders and proactively follow up on confirmations, changes, or delays

• Support resolution of supply constraints by coordinating across procurement, planning, and supplier partners

• Conduct ad hoc analyses to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives

• Support invoice analysis and resolution

Required Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail
• Experience with MS Office, strong MS Excel skills necessary
• Ability to analyze supply plans and clearly articulate gaps

Preferred Skills:

• SAP experience preferred

Education/Experience Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

Education Preferred:

• APICS - CPIM
