Certified Medical Assistant - Bilingual

Pride Health is seeking Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant to join a team in Houston, TX 77054. This is a 13 weeks contract with a possible extension.

Job Description:

·         Collect and document patient/family information, including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental data according to practice protocols.

·         Obtain and accurately record vital signs, height, weight, BMI, and reason for visit.

·         Update patient records, including outside healthcare visits, current medications, allergies, and other required information.

·         Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures.

·         Perform hearing and vision screenings, specimen collection, and basic laboratory testing.

·         Administer treatments such as nebulizer therapy, ear irrigation, and dressing changes.

·         Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA/COLA standards.

·         Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

·         Support daily clinic operations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Required:

·         High School Diploma or GED.

·         Graduate of a Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program.

·         Bilingual communication skills required.

·         One of the following certifications/licenses: CCMA (NHA), CMA (AAMA), NCMA (NCCT), NRCMA (NAHP), RMA, EMT, Advanced EMT, EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P, or Licensed Paramedic (Texas)

·         BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Contract length: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $18.00/Hour - $22.00/Hour
