As a Clinical Dietitian with the Clarks Summit State Hospital, you will help patients reach better health through personalized nutrition plans. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on providing nutritional assessments, treatment recommendations, and ongoing support to patients with diverse dietary needs. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will perform the following duties:

  • Patient Assessment: Complete nutritional assessments and record information in medical records
  • Care Planning: Develop, review, and adjust dietary plans based on clinical standards and patient needs
  • Team Participation: Share recommendations with treatment teams and contribute to staff training sessions
  • Menu Oversight: Evaluate menus, ensure diet accuracy, and update patient diet information
  • Quality Review: Support performance improvement efforts related to diet accuracy and nutrition outcomes
  • Professional Growth: Attend continuing education sessions and assist with department projects

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

  • This position requires active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) as issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or proof of eligibility for such certification.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
