Staff Pharmacist – Permanent Full-Time

Salary Range: Competitive compensation package available. Salary is based on experience, qualifications, and licensure. Expected range: $115,000 – $145,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join a hospital pharmacy team in a full-time permanent position. This role offers the opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy services, oversee medication management, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Job Responsibilities
Medication Preparation & Dispensing
- Accurately prepare, fill, label, and dispense medications, IV solutions, and parenteral products.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Verify medication orders and maintain medication safety practices.
Clinical Pharmacy Services
- Monitor patient drug therapies for appropriateness, effectiveness, and safety.
- Provide drug information and medication education to physicians, nurses, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in clinical pharmacy initiatives and medication management programs.
Pharmacy Operations
- Maintain adequate medication inventory and drug supply levels.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel.
- Assist with formulary management and automated dispensing system maintenance.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
Emergency & Leadership Responsibilities
- Participate in Rapid Response and Code Blue events as needed.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Pharmacy Director.
- Support quality improvement, compliance, and patient safety initiatives.

Requirements
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- BS in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
- Active or eligible New Mexico Pharmacist License.
- Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
- Experience with pharmacy information systems and automated dispensing technology.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- New graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
