Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide dedicated care as a compassionate licensed nurse for a male student requiring 1:1 support in an educational setting near Lowell, MA. This contract position offers stability, with an assignment anticipated to span the remainder of the 25/26 school year, includes summer coverage, and is expected to extend into fall, potentially through the 26/27 school year. Work approximately 40 hours a week, providing attentive nursing assistance both during school hours and while accompanying the student as needed for transportation.

Your role will be essential in helping a student thrive in his school environment. You'll work closely with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to deliver individualized care, such as medication administration, monitoring medical needs, and supporting day-to-day health and safety. Your skills will ensure not only the student’s well-being, but also provide reassurance to his family and school staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts LPN or RN license in good standing
  • Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or 1:1 nurse assignment preferred
  • Understanding of IEPs and school health protocols is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organization, and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily 1:1 nursing support to the assigned student at school and during transportation
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
  • Monitor and document the student’s health status
  • Collaborate with the educational team and family members to ensure continuity of care
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and follow required protocols
