Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a critical access inpatient hospital setting supporting PRN needs from June 22nd through June 26th. This per diem position offers the opportunity to work in a small, 25-bed hospital with a census typically ranging between 8-15 patients. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, delivering direct pharmacy services in an inpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Monitor and oversee pharmacy technician activities
- Manage medication cart fills to ensure availability and accuracy
- Utilize Pyxis automated dispensing systems for medication distribution
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care
Qualifications:
- Current, clear, and active Kentucky pharmacy license
- Minimum of one year recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a professional, patient-focused approach
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred
