Job Description
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a dedicated male student as a 1:1 LPN or RN in a school environment just outside Boston. This assignment is designed to offer stability, with hours anticipated at roughly 40 per week spanning the remainder of the 25/26 school year, summer session, and likely extending into the fall and the following academic year.
You’ll provide attentive 1:1 nursing support to ensure the student’s well-being and inclusion throughout school hours and during transportation. This personalized care position places you in a collaborative environment, making a meaningful impact on a student’s academic journey and daily life.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts nursing license (LPN or RN)
- Experience with school nursing or pediatric care preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate approach and comfort with 1:1 student support
- Willingness to provide services both during regular school hours and while accompanying on transportation
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive 1:1 nursing services and support, addressing the student’s health needs throughout each day
- Monitor, document, and follow care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers and educational staff
- Support the student during transportation to and from school as part of the weekly schedule
- Respond effectively to health emergencies or medical requirements in a school setting
- Maintain clear and accurate records
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe educational environment
