MRI Technologist (ARRT-MR) - Minneapolis VA Health Care System

Make an Impact Serving Our Nation's Veterans

We're seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. In this role, you'll provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services while working alongside a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our nation's veterans.

This is an excellent opportunity for a certified MRI professional looking for a stable Monday-Friday schedule, meaningful patient interaction, and the ability to work independently in a respected federal healthcare environment.



What You'll Do

Patient Care & Imaging

  • Perform MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality care.

  • Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and address patient concerns.

  • Operate and adjust MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Review images for quality and collaborate with radiologists as needed.

  • Adhere to all MRI safety standards and screening protocols.



Additional Imaging Responsibilities

  • Independently perform General Radiology and CT procedures according to established protocols.

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation within the VA electronic medical record system.

  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams.



Qualifications

Required

  • ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)(ARRT))

  • Active, unrestricted certification in good standing

  • Minimum of 1 year of Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist experience

  • Current BLS certification

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently



Preferred

  • Experience performing MRI, CT, and General Radiology procedures

  • Experience with CPRS, VistA, or other electronic health record systems

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

  • Experience working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment



Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

  • Occasional evening or weekend coverage as needed

  • Federal holidays typically observed
