MRI Technologist - Minneapolis VAMC

We're seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. In this role, you'll provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services while working alongside a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our nation's veterans.

• Perform MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality care.

• Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and address patient concerns.

• Operate and adjust MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

• Review images for quality and collaborate with radiologists as needed.

• Adhere to all MRI safety standards and screening protocols.

• Independently perform General Radiology and CT procedures according to established protocols.

• Maintain accurate patient documentation within the VA electronic medical record system.

• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams.

• ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)(ARRT))

• Active, unrestricted certification in good standing

• Minimum of 1 year of Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist experience

• Current BLS certification

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently

• Experience performing MRI, CT, and General Radiology procedures

• Experience with CPRS, VistA, or other electronic health record systems

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

• Experience working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

• Occasional evening or weekend coverage as needed

• Federal holidays typically observed

• Directly support the healthcare needs of U.S. Veterans

• Spend approximately 90% of your time providing patient care

• Consistent weekday schedule

• Federal holiday observance

• Paid time for required VA training

• Practice across multiple imaging modalities including MRI, CT, and General Radiology

• Collaborate with experienced radiologists and healthcare professionals

• Work in a respected federal healthcare system with clear performance expectations
