School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Lynn, MA

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact by providing one-on-one nursing care to a student as part of a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for school-based care. You’ll work closely with a male student attending an out-of-district program, ensuring his safety and well-being both during the school day and on transportation as needed.

This long-term assignment is anticipated to run through the remainder of the 25/26 academic year, includes summer session hours, and may extend into the 26/27 school year, offering a stable and rewarding experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts nursing certificate (LPN or RN required)
• Previous experience in school or pediatric settings highly valued
• Ability to provide compassionate, individualized care in a 1:1 setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care and support for a designated student throughout the school day and on school-provided transportation
• Monitor and respond to the student's medical needs, administering medications or interventions according to their care plan
• Collaborate with school staff and student’s family to meet educational and health goals
• Maintain detailed, timely nursing documentation and communication
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall plan of care
