Integrated Fire Alarm & Electronic Security Service Specialist

Location: Euclid, OH
Work Type: Full time / On-site

  • Do you quickly pinpoint faults on fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems?
  • Do you enjoy working directly with customers and explaining how to operate their systems?
  • Are you fluent in code-driven service work and comfortable with NFPA 70 and 72?
What you'll do
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues across fire alarm, security, access control, and camera solutions.
  • Perform routine testing, inspections, and maintenance to manufacturer specs and code requirements.
  • Respond to service calls with urgency; keep dispatch and the Service/Inspection Manager updated.
  • Function-check all repaired systems and meticulously document work performed.
  • Log materials used and hours spent for each job to maintain precise records.
  • Provide end-user guidance and basic training to empower safe, effective system operation.
  • Support upgrades, retrofits, and component replacements as assigned.
  • Maintain tools, vehicle, and test equipment in top working order and good condition.
  • Operate safely, adhering to company policy, OSHA rules, and NFPA standards.
  • Uphold a professional presence at every job site and with every customer interaction.
What we are looking for
  • At least 2 years of field service experience in fire alarm, security, or access control.
  • Proficiency with panel-level and device-level troubleshooting.
  • Experience with DMP, Mircom, Avigilon, and Honeywell systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to read wiring schematics and use diagnostic instruments confidently.
  • Computer literacy for digital tickets and service reporting.
  • Ability to obtain a Fire Alarm License (if jurisdiction requires) within 90 days of eligibility.
