SUMMARY:
The Key Account Manager plays a pivotal role in aligning MedWiz’ s strategic goals with actionable initiatives, ensuring seamless execution of tasks while maintaining high-quality service delivery. Acting as the bridge between executive leadership and Account Managers (AMs), the Key Account Manager drives consistency, efficiency, and innovation across the regions served. This position is financially driven and emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and the development of resources that empower the team to achieve operational excellence. This role does not have any direct reports at this time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Account Manager Support
• Lead small-scale projects to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and seamless integration into the broader strategic framework.
• Translate goals set by executive leadership into actionable plans that provide guidance without rigidity.
• Make planned site visits alongside Account Managers at each location to strengthen relationships and improve processes.
• Act as a financial AM in areas concerning Collections, Billing and Cost Containment.
• Present at a Director level on financial topics such as invoice disputes and audits.
• Attend quarterly stakeholder meetings in-person with Clinical Directors and key facility leadership.
• Prepare monthly reports on the financial health and facility performance
Operational Efficiency
• Focus on PPD cost containment to reduce medical supply and operational expenses through fixed-price models, utilization management, and strategic sourcing.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Directors to analyze data and develop strict formularies to ensure best practices when choosing medications.
• Review and manage facility true-ups for PPD facilities.

The regular work schedule for this position is full- time, including weekends and holidays as needed and/or on a rotating basis and and may require additional hours/overtime as necessary.
Sitting for extended periods of time, computer usage including data entry for much of the workday, regular phone communication, handling paperwork and documentation, and participating in meetings. Field position requiring frequent travel and occasional overnight stays.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience: Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among diverse teams. Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations. Ability to provide hands-on support and adapt implementation plans based on feedback and testing. Commitment to fostering teamwork, brainstorming, and participation in meetings.
Computer Skills: Intermediate computer proficiency. Pharmacy and medication distribution software (EMAR, Medbank, Frameworks) preferred
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as medication documentation, business correspondence and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers or employees of the organization.
Traveling: This position requires the ability to travel about 25% of the time including quarterly stakeholder meetings.
