Overview
We are seeking a motivated and analytically driven professional to join our team as an Energy Asset Optimization Analyst. In this role, you will help improve the financial and operational performance of energy assets across a variety of markets and programs.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build expertise in energy markets, financial modeling, and asset optimization while working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
The position follows a hybrid schedule, with three days per week in the Chicago office.
Key Responsibilities
- Build Market Knowledge
- Develop an understanding of energy markets, programs, and revenue opportunities across different regions
- Learn how distributed energy assets (such as batteries and generators) participate in these markets
- Support the evaluation of new opportunities and strategies
- Analyze and Optimize Asset Performance
- Assist in developing models to evaluate asset performance and identify optimization opportunities
- Support the development of operational and commercial strategies to maximize asset value
- Work with internal teams to align modeling insights with real-world operations
- Financial Analysis & Forecasting
- Contribute to financial forecasts based on market expectations and asset performance
- Track and analyze revenue streams, including environmental attributes and program participation
- Help maintain and improve reporting tools and dashboards
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations and other internal teams to support asset performance and client objectives
- Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders
Qualifications, Education, Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related fields required with 1-3 years of experience in an analytical, financial, or energy-related role (preferred, not required).
- Interest in energy markets or infrastructure is a plus
- High attention to detail
- Effective organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a multi-functional team setting
