About UsKhayat Olive Oil makes small-batch olive oil and hummus, sold direct to customers at farmers and craft markets around Louisville and the region. We're a growing local food brand, and we're looking for someone to take ownership of how we show up at markets and help make the products that go on the table.
What You'll DoMarkets (weekends, local + regional travel)
- Set up, run, and break down our booth at farmers and craft markets
- Be the face of the brand — talk to customers, answer questions, sell product
- Track sales and what's moving so we know what to bring next time
Inventory & Planning
- Keep track of stock levels for olive oil, hummus, and packaging supplies
- Plan what to bring to each market based on past sales and upcoming events
- Flag when we're running low on anything and help plan production accordingly
Kitchen Production (1-2 weekdays)
- Help make hummus in our commercial kitchen following our recipes and food safety procedures
- Package and label product for market
Team Support
- Identify when we need extra hands for bigger markets
- Help onboard and oversee part-time market-day helpers (we'll have a small roster you can call on)
- Comfortable talking to people and selling — you genuinely enjoy market/event environments
- Organized — you can track inventory and plan ahead without being micromanaged
- Must be able to work on weekends and wake up early mornings for farmers market
- Reliable person who we can depend on
- Some travel to regional markets (travel reimbursed)
- Food handler's certification (or willing to get one — we'll help)
- Able to lift/carry market equipment and product (up to ~40 lbs)
- Comfortable in a commercial kitchen setting; prior food prep experience a plus but not required
- Driver's license and reliable transportation
- $20-28/hour depending on experience
- Travel reimbursement for regional markets
- Flexible weekday hours for kitchen work
- Room to grow as the brand expands — this role can grow into a bigger operations role over time
- Free product! (olive oil + hummus, obviously)
Send a quick note about yourself and any relevant experience (market, retail, food service, or kitchen) to [email/contact]. We'd love to hear why this kind of work appeals to you — we're looking for someone who actually enjoys markets, not just someone filling a schedule slot.
Required qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 21+ years or older
- Valid driver's license
- Able to comfortably lift 30 lbs
- Available to work: early morning
- Available to work: weekends
Preferred qualifications:
- Access to personal devices for work: smartphone - any type
- Able to stand for duration of shift
- Willing to travel locally
