Job Summary

The Laboratory Technologist (MLT/MT) performs a wide range of laboratory tests and reports accurate results to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. The role includes handling lab operations, quality assurance, and equipment maintenance while following safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing in areas such as:
  • Hematology
  • Immunology / Immunohematology
  • Bacteriology
  • Chemistry
  • Microscopy
• Conduct phlebotomy (venipuncture, capillary, arterial draws)
• Process and analyze specimens
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment
• Perform quality control and preventive maintenance
• Prepare reagents and validate test results
• Follow infection control & safety protocols
• Assist in training new staff and students
