Responsibilities
  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility interventions
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercise programs and safety techniques
  • Assist patients in improving strength, flexibility, coordination, and functional mobility
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Ensure a safe and supportive treatment environment
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Adhere to facility policies, regulatory requirements, and quality care standards
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Active PTA License in Georgia
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Physical Therapist Assistant experience
  • Current BLS Certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and therapeutic exercises
  • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
