Company: PLAY LEARN BEHAVE WITH ABA, APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS, PLLC
Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor | Part-Time
Compensation: $100 – $165 / hour (Negotiable based on experience and credentials)
Service Areas: NYC Boroughs (Brooklyn, Staten Island, Bronx, and Queens)
About Us
At PLAY LEARN BEHAVE WITH ABA, we are dedicated to helping children on the autism spectrum thrive. We believe that movement, play, and behavioral support go hand-in-hand. We are seeking a passionate, skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our agency and provide exceptional, neurodiversity-affirming care to students aged 5 to 18.
If you love working with kids, value clinical autonomy, and want to earn an exceptional hourly rate, this flexible contractor role is perfect for you.
The Role & Work Environment
As a contract Physical Therapist with our agency, you will work directly with children in school settings to improve their gross motor skills, strength, balance, and coordination, helping them safely navigate their educational and social environments.
- Where You'll Work: Services are performed directly on-site at schools across NYC, with potential for weekend sessions depending on family and school needs.
- The Schedule: Highly flexible, part-time hours. Because we serve school-aged youth (ages 5–18), peak hours are typically after school and on weekends.
- Hours: Variable based on student caseloads, school schedules, and your availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical therapy evaluations and implement individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents (ages 5–18) on the autism spectrum.
- Provide school-based therapy sessions focusing on gross motor development, functional mobility, and environmental accessibility.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and our behavioral team to ensure holistic support for each student.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of student progress and session notes.
Position Requirements
- Licensure: Must be a Licensed and Certified Physical Therapist in the State of New York.
- Location & Travel: Must live in or near NYC and be able to commute between our target boroughs (Brooklyn, Staten Island, Bronx, and Queens).
- Background Clearance: Must have a clean criminal record and be fully willing to undergo a comprehensive background check.
- Language Skills: Spanish fluency is a major plus, though not required.
- Mindset: Patient, energetic, and experienced in (or passionate about) working with neurodivergent children.
Why Contract With Us?
- Top-Tier Compensation: Earn a highly competitive rate of $100 to $165 per hour.
- Room to Negotiate: Your unique credentials, specialized certifications, and years of experience matter to us—rates are negotiable for top talent.
- Autonomy: Enjoy the freedom and tax advantages of a 1099 contractor lifestyle.
- Make a Real Difference: Work with an agency that genuinely cares about helping children play, learn, and behave authentically.
