This is a remote role, however, the team may be moving to 1 day onsite in the metro Detroit area, so we are only interested in candidates located within 100 miles of southeast Detroit.

The pay rate is $24/hr or $25/hr for bilingual candidates and those with 3+ years of professional Paralegal experience. This pay rate is firm.

Are you a meticulous and proactive legal professional eager to make a significant impact on critical legal operations? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our client’s dynamic legal team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of legal processes, directly contributing to the team’s ability to protect the organization’s interests and uphold legal compliance. Your expertise will empower attorneys, streamline workflows, and play a key part in the successful resolution of legal matters, driving the company’s continued success.

**Primary Responsibilities:**
* Prepare essential legal correspondence and documents, including summonses, complaints, motions, responses, and subpoenas, under attorney supervision.
* Conduct thorough legal research and review legal journals to support ongoing cases and initiatives.
* Assess and negotiate warranty claims. 
* Collect and organize vital information to provide closure to a high volume of cases on a docket within an assigned region.
* Actively participate in legal meetings, efficiently organize documents, and case files.
* Communicate with outside councel and legal assistants.

**Required Qualifications:**
* Associates degree 
* 1-3 years of Paralegal, legal assistant or law-related experience. 
* Strong Excel and MS Office capabilities. Slack is used for communications. 
* Foundational knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and the democratic political process.

* Bachelors degree is highly preferred from an accredited university.

* Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish (advanced in both written and verbal capabilities) will be a plus.
