Join our travel therapy team as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving a skilled nursing facility in Santa Barbara, CA. You will evaluate and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to patient-centered care in a long-term care setting. Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • Active California SLP license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS Certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience providing SLP services in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.
  • Proficiency evaluating and treating dysphagia and communication disorders, including use of standardized assessments and treatment plans.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with documentation systems commonly used in SNFs and skilled nursing environments.
  • Prior travel clinician experience preferred.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams, restorative nursing programs, and caregiver education.


Assignment Details

  • Shift Hours: 0800-1630.
  • Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
  • Meal break: 30 minutes.

Impacting Patient Care

You will deliver skilled SLP services that improve patient communication, cognition, and swallowing safety. You will document progress, participate in care planning, and provide education to patients and caregivers to support functional outcomes and safe discharge planning.
