Commercial Employees is hiring several Production Associate positions to join a busy paint and steel processing facility in Valencia. This company works with steel coils used in construction, transportation, and metal products.
PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE DUTIES:
- Prepare raw materials for productions runs and verify materials match with the customer order requirements and production schedule. Connect raw material (metal) through a stitching process.
- Visually inspect coils to identify defects (marks, dents, scratches, etc.) in raw materials and finished product
- Package coils to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.). This may include driving a forklift or helping the forklift driver.
- Ensure that finished goods are properly and safely stacked both on the forklift and in the warehouse.
PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- To perform this job successfully, it is necessary to understand basic measurement and mathematics when using a calculator, and a comfort level with computers as some data entry or data lookup is required.
- High School or equivalent
- Forklift Experience preferred but not required
- Exposure to production environment preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
