Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Correctional Center - Valhalla, NY

Job Title: LPN

Location: Valhalla, NY

Rate: Up to $1900.00 Gross weekly + benefits available from day 1

Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Contract: 13-week Contract; Local or Travel accepted

Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience preferred
• Experience with electronic medical records and computer documentation
• Strong attention to detail and medication administration skills

Certifications:
• Active LPN License
• CPR/BLS Certification

Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care within a correctional setting
• Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Obtain diagnostic tests and assist with medical procedures as needed
• Count and document controlled substances according to policy
• Document nursing encounters accurately and timely
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, providers, and other healthcare personnel
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and protocols
