Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.

• Assist with patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and preventive care to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

• Collaborate with dentists to evaluate patients' oral health, identifying signs of potential concerns and assisting in treatment planning.

• Monitor patients’ periodontal health, conducting periodontal charting and assisting in the development of treatment plans for gum disease.

• Be current with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and latest advancements in technologies to improve patient care

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in dental hygiene from an accredited institution

• Active dental hygienist license in New York state
