Field Research Assistant - Now Hiring

Our client, an agricultural seed production company, is seeking a Field Assistant to join their team. As a Field Assistant, you will be part of the Agronomy/Field Operations team supporting the Agronomy Supervisor and Research Specialists. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to follow instructions, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Field Assistant
Location: Hermiston
Pay Range: $22/hour

What’s the Job?

• Support corn detasseling activities during peak season (July and early August)
• Perform field scouting, data collection, and roguing of fields
• Assist with seed production activities and general field support
• Operate field equipment on a limited basis when needed
• Work extended hours, including weekends, and in varying weather conditions

What’s Needed?

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record (company vehicle required)
• Willingness to work long hours, including weekends in July
• Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, windy, or inclement weather conditions
• Required to wear appropriate footwear (shoes with ankle support)
