MACHINE OPERATOR (PRODUCTION) | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Columbus NE 68601 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $22.70/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Alternating day schedule
- Overtime may be required based on business needs
MACHINE OPERATOR (PRODUCTION) | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Machine Operator will join a manufacturing team focused on quality, safety, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work in a production environment and are committed to maintaining high-quality standards while operating manufacturing equipment.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
MACHINE OPERATOR (PRODUCTION) | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform product inspections and quality checks
- Complete equipment changeovers, line clearances, and cleaning activities
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Monitor production output to achieve quality and productivity goals
- Perform SAP and MES system transactions
- Maintain compliance with GMP, quality, and safety standards
- Handle raw materials and finished goods as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Cross-train in other departmental functions to support operations
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
MACHINE OPERATOR (PRODUCTION) | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Experience with SAP, MES, or similar production systems is a plus
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers or microscopes is preferred
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions and specifications in English
- Basic math skills required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new tasks and rotate responsibilities
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and around production equipment
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to work extended or flexible hours when needed
