Service Manager
Location: Guilford, CT
Compensation: $105,000 - $115,000 Base Salary + 10% Bonus

A growing and highly respected manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead its Service Department and oversee customer support operations, field service activities, installations, and service team performance.
This is a leadership role for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment and enjoys working closely with customers, dealers, technicians, and internal operations teams to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and manage the Service Department team.
- Delegate service activities and monitor progress to ensure departmental goals are achieved.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for customer service concerns and technical issues.
- Coordinate equipment installations, relocations, maintenance visits, and field service activities.
- Work directly with domestic and international customers across a variety of industries.
- Monitor and manage open service cases, repairs, parts orders, and return authorizations.
- Oversee service-related documentation, CRM records, and equipment tracking.
- Partner with Production and Operations teams to support shipping schedules and customer commitments.
- Review and approve field service reports and external service invoices.
- Identify recurring service issues and implement process improvements.
- Support aftermarket parts, accessories, and service sales initiatives.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and product updates are effectively communicated and implemented.
- Previous leadership experience within a Service, Operations, Manufacturing, or Technical Support environment.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- Experience managing service teams, technicians, or field service operations.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented leadership style.
- Manufacturing, industrial equipment, machinery, automation, or technical service experience strongly preferred.
- Competitive base salary of $105,000 - $115,000
