An innovative consumer goods company in Carlsbad is experiencing tremendous growth and looking to add a Financial Accountant to its team. This role will own daily banking operations and marketplace accounting activities, a strong fit for someone who enjoys working with high-volume transactional data across multiple online sales channels.

Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process.
- Analyze transactional activity and financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies.
- Partner with internal departments to research issues, improve data accuracy, and support operational initiatives.
- Record daily cash activity, including receipts, transfers, fees, and other banking transactions.
- Monitor cash balances and assist with treasury-related activities as needed.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain organized supporting documentation for audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with process improvements, documentation, and accounting controls to support a growing organization.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Strong Excel skills, including working with large data sets and performing account analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience supporting high-volume transaction environments, consumer products, distribution, retail, or ecommerce organizations is preferred.
