Job Summary:
We are seeking a Process Engineer for a 1-year contract opportunity supporting advanced industrial and semiconductor manufacturing facility projects in Boise, ID. This role is ideal for a Chemical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer with experience in process chemical systems, process piping, gas distribution, ultrapure water, wastewater, and related facility infrastructure.
The Process Chemical Engineer will work in a hybrid environment with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary project team supporting complex tool installations, tenant improvements, and facility upgrades. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact engineering projects in a fast-paced technical environment while working with experienced leaders, clients, contractors, and equipment stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and development of process chemical and mechanical systems for industrial and semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams to define project requirements and design solutions.
- Produce construction documents for manufacturing tool installations, tenant improvements, retrofits, and facility infrastructure upgrades.
- Design and lay out wet and dry piping systems, process chemical piping, gas distribution systems, equipment layouts, and process mechanical systems.
- Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, component selection, specification development, and utility requirement documentation.
- Provide construction-phase support, including RFIs, submittal reviews, field visits, site walks, and system integration assistance.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay Range: $49 to $54 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Duration: 1 year.
- Location: Boise, ID 83707.
- Work Style: Hybrid, with 2 days in office and 3 days remote.
- Typical business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility.
