JOB DESCRIPTION
A client/employer of Insight Global is seeking a Material Deployment Coordinator to support manufacturing operations by managing material movement for production, kitting, and rework orders. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials are accurately staged, tracked, and delivered in alignment with production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
-Create, process, and issue materials based on pick lists for production, kitting, battery, and rework orders; pick and stage materials in accordance with the production schedule
-Coordinate the pickup and delivery of materials, ensuring accuracy and timely availability for production needs
-Perform pre-screening and processing of returned devices and accessories as part of rework operations
-Support inventory reconciliation by partnering with the inventory team and assisting with cycle counts to maintain accuracy
-Collaborate cross-functionally with production, supply chain/operations, quality inspection, and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and drive process improvements
-Generate and issue labels for production orders
-Process rejected materials in SAP and route to quality for further handling
-Prepare and stage finished goods for delivery to off-site warehouse locations
-Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, supporting 5S initiatives
-Cross-train across multiple functions to maintain a strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Working knowledge of material deployment workflows
-Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system
-Minimum of 4 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment
-At least 2 years of experience working with SAP or a comparable system
