American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring C-EFM through NCC certification and 2 years of recent L&D experience.

- Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit \n
- Community hospital setting with 100-200 facility births per month \n
- Patient population includes antepartum, L&D, LDRP, Level I Nursery, and low risk mother/baby cases \n
- Patient ratio of 1:2 \n
- Uses Cerner charting system \n
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15 \n
- Every other weekend required, totaling 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks \n

- Active Compact RN license or MD RN license required \n
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, C-EFM through NCC, FHM, and NRP \n
- AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred \n
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience within the last 7 years required \n
- Community hospital experience required \n
- Cerner charting system experience required \n
- Skilled in circulating for C-sections and fetal heart monitoring (FHM) \n
- Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment \n
- Two supervisory references required, including one from most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years \n

- Responsibilities include managing labor and delivery care, assisting with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and postpartum care \n
- Skilled in fetal monitoring including use of external and internal fetal monitors and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns \n
- Experience caring for patients with conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, preterm labor, and postpartum hemorrhage \n
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate \n
- No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment \n
- All time off requests must be submitted at the time of application and cannot be changed after manager review \n
- Candidates with previous MedStar employment must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler \n
- First-time travelers are not accepted; at least one prior travel assignment is required \n
- Manager interviews are not guaranteed for this position \n
