Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical unit will provide professional nursing care to primarily oncology patients. This role involves care for patients with various diagnoses, including anemias, pain control, neutropenia, and pneumonia, among others. The RN will not administer chemotherapy. Night shift nurses manage 5-6 patients with 1-2 PCTs for support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to straight oncology patients.
- Manage patient assignments on the night shift, supported by PCTs.
- Float within scope as needed.
- Perform weekend and holiday shifts as required.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of nursing experience; oncology experience preferred.
- Valid IL License and BLS certification.
