American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with ARRT registration in Radiology and Mammography to support the women's health imaging section of a healthcare facility.
Details- Diagnostic imaging setting within the women's health section of a radiology department
- Performs mammography exams and may assist with other imaging modalities including CT, MRI, and DEXA
- Day shift schedule
- 13-week contract
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M)
- Current BLS/BCLS certification
- State license required if applicable
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
- Responsible for the daily operation of the women's health section of radiology, including QA, preventative maintenance scheduling, and accreditation record-keeping
- Performs exams per imaging department protocols or in coordination with the radiologist, adhering to ALARA radiation safety standards
- Maintains accurate patient records in EHR, including charge capture and supply documentation
- May assist in other modalities, clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation as needed
- Assists with training and cross-training of imaging staff members
- Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory
- Two or more years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist and cross-training in additional modalities such as CT, MRI, and DEXA are preferred
