American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel assignment in Weatherford, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active TX RN license.
Details- Emergency Department (ED) setting in a hospital environment
- 23-bed Emergency Department with an all-RN nursing staff, ED techs at lobby, and a unit secretary
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Day shift: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required as needed
- Unit performs standard ED procedures including Level IV trauma, primary stroke center care, and chest pain-accredited PCI/STEMI services (24/7)
- Meditech EMR in use; prior Meditech experience preferred
- Active TX RN license required; compact license accepted only if TX is the primary state — temporary licenses will not be accepted
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI (or accepted equivalent: SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA)
- All certifications must be from AHA or ARC and must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
- Dress code includes: no artificial, gel, or next-gen nails; neat and natural hair (pulled back if shoulder length or longer); covered body art when possible; no visible piercings other than ears; slip-resistant, non-absorbent footwear (breathable mesh athletic shoes are not permitted)
