Adelphi is seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to provide nursing services at a facility in Washington County, Texas. The ideal candidate will support the care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.\n\nJob Quick Facts\n • BD-673-13\n • Profession: Nursing\n • Specialty: Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse\n • Location: Washington County, Texas\n • Facility Type: Residential / Long-Term Care Setting\n • Job Type: Contract\n • Contract Length: 6 months\n • Schedule: 40 hours per week\n Shift Length: 8-hour shifts\n Weekend Requirement: 3 weekends per month\n Break: 30-minute break during each shift\n Shifts\n 5:45 AM - 2:15 PM: \n 1:45 PM - 10:15 PM: \n 9:45 PM - 6:15 AM: \n\n • Compensation: $40 per hour\n\nRequirements\n • Completion of an approved LVN/LPN program\n • Current, unencumbered LVN/LPN license to practice in Texas\n • Nursing experience in an acute or long-term care setting preferred\n • Current CPR certification preferred\n • Ability to commit to a 6-month assignment\n • Ability to work 40 hours per week, including 3 weekends per month\n • Must pass a background check and drug screening\n • Must attend all required orientation and nursing education sessions\n • Must be available for Orientation Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, for approximately 2 weeks.\n • Attendance is mandatory, and punctuality is required, as missed sessions may be difficult to reschedule.\n\nResponsibilities\n • Perform vocational and practical nursing duties within the assigned scope of practice.\n • Provide care, treatment, and general support to individuals in a residential care setting.\n • Perform routine and non-routine nursing tasks to promote health, safety, and well-being.\n • Collect specimens for lab work and perform health screenings as needed.\n • Perform technical nursing procedures in accordance with applicable regulations and care standards.\n • Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.\n • Support direct care staff by providing nursing guidance and instruction as needed.\n • Assist with on-the-job training for newly assigned nursing and support staff.\n • Monitor individual health needs and report changes in condition as appropriate.\n • Evaluate nursing interventions and provide input to the healthcare team.\n • Assist Registered Nurses with protocols, procedures, and programs that support health and safety.\n • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse while using sound judgment and initiative within the LVN/LPN scope of practice.
