Insolvency & Financial Law Associate Attorney (2–4 Years Experience)
Location: Seattle, WA
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Insolvency & Financial Law practice in Seattle. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with 2–4 years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency matters who are looking to build their practice within a sophisticated and collaborative legal environment.
Practice OverviewThe firm's Insolvency & Financial Law practice has extensive experience representing clients in complex financial restructurings, bankruptcy proceedings, and related litigation nationwide. The team regularly represents a broad range of stakeholders, including:
- Secured lenders
- Landlords
- Unsecured creditors
- Creditors’ and equity committees
- Bankruptcy trustees
- Asset purchasers
- Contract counterparties
The practice is particularly recognized for its work in lending, bankruptcy litigation, healthcare, and technology-related insolvency matters.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience handling bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring matters
- Active Washington State Bar admission required
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Excellent academic credentials
- Experience with bankruptcy litigation, including avoidance actions, is preferred
- Experience with corporate bankruptcy and restructuring matters is highly desirable
- Familiarity with state court receiverships is a plus
- Candidates who have completed bankruptcy court clerkships are strongly encouraged to apply
