Location: Rancho Cordova, CA

Compensation: $24.00 – $31.00 per hour

Step into a day where precision drives purpose. You start by dialing in a vertical machining center, confirm offsets, and warm up a Haas turning center before first article inspection. By mid-morning, you’ve tuned feeds & speeds, made a quick G-code tweak, and coached a junior machinist through a setup change. Every part you run contributes to high-quality, innovative components used in critical medical technologies.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate 2- and 3-axis CNC equipment across vertical, horizontal, and turning centers.
• Optimize machining by adjusting feeds & speeds and performing basic G-code edits.
• Troubleshoot dimensional and surface finish issues; implement corrective actions.
• Recommend process enhancements and program optimizations to improve throughput and quality.
• Design and build simple fixtures (soft jaws, plates, etc.) to stabilize and streamline workholding.
• Monitor tool wear, propose tooling upgrades, and maintain tool life records.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools (excluding complex 3D surface verification).
• Support and mentor less experienced machinists during setups and production.
• Maintain accurate job status updates, travelers, and production documentation.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years total machining experience, including 4+ years operating CNC equipment.
• Hands-on knowledge of Fanuc, Mazak, or Haas controls.
• Proven ability to set up, run, and inspect multi-axis work.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and related metrology.
• Solid command of GD&T and blueprint interpretation; able to follow technical instructions in English.

Physical Requirements

Capable of light to medium work, including lifting up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
