Manager, Electrical Engineering - imaging systems

InnoTECH Staffing is looking to hire a fulltime permanent Manager, Electrical Engineering for medical imaging systems. Ideal candidate will have both NPD and Sustaining background and have some team leadership experience and still like to contribute as an IC. Any experience with image analysis, image processing, and opto-electronics a plus.

Overview

As a key member of a small multi-disciplinary team, design and develop electrical systems that interact with optics, mechanics, and software in novel medical imaging systems

Principal Responsibilities

Play a primary role in designing high speed video systems, board layout, and schematic capture

Bring up and debug complex electrical systems

Develop and define assembly processes, fixture requirements, and manufacture strategies

Ability to identity risks, anticipate complex problems, and develop strategies

Work on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features

Assists upper level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor

Define product/design specifications

Provides detailed estimates for new projects

Develop new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products

Authors and reviews project documents for conformity and quality

Independently interact with internal and external customers

Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience

Demonstrated hands on experience designing electronic video systems incorporating some of the following technologies: FPGA, MIPI, video processing, high-speed data, miniaturization, or similar.

Demonstrated ability to work independently to develop creative solutions to challenging problems

5+ years’ experience with Altium or similar PCB design software; experience with flex PCB design a plus.

Experience in flex PCB design a plus

Familiarity with programming in C, Java, Python, Matlab or similar

Advanced written and verbal communication

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 15+ years of experience

Supervisory Responsibility

Two direct reports

Travel

Some travel may be required in between sites

Compensation includes base salary, health, dental, vision, bonus, vacation, sick days and holidays
