Job Description
Summary
Responsible for coordinating the delivery and installation/retrofit of Field Equipment. Industries include steel, wood, pulp and paper. granary projects. Will supervise all phases of industrial construction and fabrication. Includes travel out of town on a per project basis. This is deemed a safety sensitive position.
Essential Duties
- Work with General Contractors and Sub-Contractors to manage project coordination.
- Attend construction meetings and submits weekly reports to Project Managers.
- Perform field dimensioning when needed.
- Maintain daily contact with Project Team and provides updates on assigned projects
- Maintain positive business relationships with customers and escalates installation issues appropriately.
- Instruct and monitor trades on-site to ensure proper connection of mechanical requirements.
- Responsibility for walk-throughs, punch-list resolution, and closeout procedures.
- Responsible for being on-site during turnover to Operations for coordination of transition issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed project files.
- Assist in all other sales related activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, AND Abilities
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of five years of applicable Construction Site Management. Ability to read blueprints, design layouts and other construction documents. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Strong analytical, organizational skills and the ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize, and work independently. Excellent communication and time management skills. Able to travel frequently and support long term assignments.
Preferred: Related field preferred with a minimum of (5) year related experience in independent construction site management, industrial construction management experience. Experience and familiarity with fabrication and machining.
Working Environment
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
- Must be able to lift to 25 pounds.
- May require periods of travel.
- Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
- May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
- Assignment location may include project sites and/or in the office.
- Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen.
- Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Climbing, reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling.
